Great Idea for putting on the chains! From Elkboy's post, I found out that I can't use chains on the front wheels of my Kubota 2910 because the steering linkage is too close to the tires. I guess I am going to go with the ladder chains on the rear. I will get the set that has cross ladders every 2 links.

I had started this thread with a question about mismatched tires and correct pressure. I just received a response from Kubota, it follows: "Thank you for your inquiry to Kubota.
The 23x8.50-14 R4 IND. front and 12.4-16 R4 IND. rear are the correct
tire combination, the inflation pressure for the front is 35 psi and the
rear is 20psi. It is common to have two different tire manufactures.
Thank you for being a Kubota customer."

Now I will let some air out of the back tires and ride easy.

What would be the best size rake for a Kubota 30HP B2910? Its main use would be grading a 1/2 mile driveway.

Bird, I will look again for the connection. The tool box you mention is also mentioned in my manual but there isn't one on the tractor. I guess I will have to see the service manager at the dealership and see if I can get him to sort these things out. From the info I have gathered here, at least I will have some idea of what I am talking about. I really appreciate all the insight that you and others on this board give. Thanks to all. David

In the Northern tool and equipment catalog there are 3 Howse, Rough cut Mowers. They come in 4,5 and 6 foot sizes. Cost is $500, $550 and $650.
It says the recommended HP for the 4� is 15-30hp, the 5� is 25-40hp and the 6� is 30-60hp. Are they talking about PTO HP or engine HP? My B2910 is 30hp with 22@ the PTO. Can I run the 5� model? Are the Mower chain guards necessary� they cost $120, $140, and $150. What do they mean when they say it has a 45hp gearbox? Also does anyone have an opinion on the landscape Rakes and grader blades sold by Northern?
